Objective

Design Hotels supports a global portfolio of unique, independent hotels—and our success depends on ensuring each property has reliable, accurate, and effective distribution technology in place. As Coordinator, Distribution Technology – Americas, you will play a key operational support role within the Americas regional team, focusing on the execution of daily distribution tasks and basic troubleshooting.

This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to build a career in hotel distribution, hospitality technology, or commercial operations. You’ll work closely with the Manager of Distribution Technology and report directly to the Head of Distribution Technology – Americas, gaining hands-on experience with systems like SynXis, MARSHA, and OTA platforms.

Your mission: to help ensure that rates, availability, and content for our member hotels are accurately maintained across all relevant channels, and that hotel teams receive reliable, timely support for standard technical issues.

 

Responsibilities

Operational & Technical Support

  • Assist with day-to-day management of hotel content, availability, and rates in SynXis and MARSHA (Marriott CRS)
  • Perform standard rate loading, testing, and content updates for connected distribution channels (GDS, OTAs, hotel websites)
  • Support the setup and testing of OTA connections and interfaces
  • Execute regular quality checks to ensure system accuracy and data integrity
  • Respond to Level 1 support requests and escalate more complex issues to the Manager or Head of Distribution Technology as needed
  • Assist with user setup and maintenance for SynXis and Marriott systems
     

Ticket System & Task Management

  • Manage incoming support requests via the Distribution Technology ticketing platform
  • Accurately classify and document requests and resolutions, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support the coordination of small projects and updates under the direction of the Manager or Head of Distribution Technology
     

Hotel & Team Support

  • Provide direct support to member hotels in the Americas region
  • Participate in onboarding sessions for new member hotels or new distribution technology team members, assisting with basic system introductions
  • Assist in preparing support documentation, user guides, and system updates

 

Experience & Mindset Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with SynXis or MARSHA CRS and online travel agency platforms is a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot system issues
  • Effective communication skills in English (other languages a bonus) and the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset and adaptability to evolving technology
