Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job | |
Apply paint, stain, vinyl and wallpaper to walls, furniture and other structures within the property. Prepare surfaces for painting andwall coverings. | |
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. | |
1. | Apply paint, vinyl and wallpaper including specialty papers, trims and fabrics to all walls, furniture and structures throughout theproperty. |
2. | Prepare all surfaces for paint or wallpaper as need to ensure quality application. May be required to remove old paint for surfacepreparation. |
3. | Inspect and repair wall surfaces using the appropriate materials. |
4. | Assist with ordering of supplies and materials for the paint shop to ensure required supplies and materials are available. |
5. | Maintain a clean work environment and proper upkeep of all company tools. |
6. | Properly dispose of or recycle chemicals |
7. | Comply with OSHA regulations, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safety precautions. |
8. | Perform other duties as assigned. |

Education | High school diploma or equivalent preferred. | |
Experience | Minimum of two years painting experience required. Trade school or related training preferred. Knowledge of techniques, materials andprocedures used in repair and application of paint, vinyl and wallpaper preferred. | |
Licenses/Certifications | Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record may be required. Material Handling Equipment certification as required (may varyby property) | |
