We are looking for a passionate Restaurant Manager to join our wonderful team at The Library at London Marriott Hotel County Hall.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

  •  High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage department

OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

  • Lead, inspire, and motivate the team through strong communication, integrity, and role modelling.
  • Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance across the team.
  • Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Drive team development through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training.
  • Ensure compliance with all food & beverage policies, safety standards, and legal regulations (including liquor laws).
  • Maintain high productivity levels and provide clear leadership direction aligned to business goals.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by exceeding service expectations and acting as a visible hospitality role model.
  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure consistent quality, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, implementing continuous service improvements.
  • Support people management activities including performance management, employee engagement, fairness, and retention

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Assist servers and hosts on the floor during meal periods and high demand times.
  • Recognize good quality products and presentations.
  • Supervise daily shift operations in absence of Assistant Restaurant Manager.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the department including purchasing and payment of invoices.
