The Courtyard by Marriott Burlington, ON, opened on December 2018 and has been the #1 Courtyard in Canada. We are looking for an active customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the next Sales Manager at our active hotel. You will be in charge of developing a sales and marketing plan that includes soliciting new and existing accounts, focuses on group bookings, to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits and community networking.

Responsibilities
Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales and community networking
Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities
Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with the clients
Responsible for Room Sales and Food and Beverage sales for the hotel.
A clear understanding of the hotel’s business strategies then set goals and determine action plans to meet those goals.
Represent Hotels in various events and exhibitions.
Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas as outlined in the marketing plan.
Conducts daily sales calls and arranges site inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients.
Able to provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, and develop professional long-term business relationships.
Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
Participates in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked through various booking engines.
Able to support hotel service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Reports to the General Manager and will work closely to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels.
Work closely with the Events and Sales Manager to further develop the new and existing accounts to increase revenue
Develop strong relationships with all departments to ensure working in unity and always striving to achieve the same goals.
Conducting sales calls to potential clients to assist in the development of the account and to assess the effectiveness and sales skills of the salesperson.
Complete mandated trainings
Attending all department and hotel meetings as necessary.
Targeting key accounts potential for the company.
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc.
Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Acquiring and developing new business accounts and preparing sales proposals for clients.
Closely following up on all business leads within a 24-hour response time line to clients.
Job Requirements:
. Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the Marriott brand hotel in the Sales Department.
* Certificate / Degree in Business or Hospitality Management an asset
* Proficient in English language, both written and oral
* Excellent prioritization, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
* Knowledgeable about social media platforms and their functionality
* Enthusiastic and self-starting personality with an even disposition
* Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
* Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office applications)
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the company, external organizations and suppliers
* Resourceful with ability to pay close attention to detail, prioritize tasks, work under pressure to meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision
* Experience/knowledge within the GTA/Southwestern Ontario market is an asset
* Must already be legally permitted to work in Canada

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
After completing the probationary period of 3 months, performance review will be conducted and subject to a positive review, increase will be given.
After completing the probationary period of 3 months, health benefits will be given.
