POSITION SUMMARY

The Restaurant Senior Supervisor – Puna supports the daily leadership of Puna, the signature dining destination at Nekajui, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, ensuring each service is executed with precision, warmth, and attention to detail while delivering exceptional guest experiences aligned with the Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards and the Reserve philosophy.

This role oversees service flow, guest engagement, restaurant readiness, and coordination with Culinary, Bar, Stewarding, Reservations, Personal Hosts, and other departments to ensure seamless luxury dining experiences. The Restaurant Senior Supervisor actively supports restaurant leadership in recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, evaluating, disciplining, motivating, and developing Ladies and Gentlemen while serving as a role model and first point of contact within the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.

The position is responsible for maintaining elevated standards of service, grooming, sanitation, safety, security, and operational discipline; ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; protecting confidential information, company assets, inventory, and equipment; and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.

The Restaurant Senior Supervisor welcomes and acknowledges guests according to company standards, anticipates and addresses service needs, supports guest recovery efforts, assists individuals with disabilities when required, and creates memorable dining experiences through genuine appreciation, professionalism, and attention to detail. The role requires strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships across departments and respond appropriately to the needs of both guests and fellow Ladies and Gentlemen.

The Restaurant Senior Supervisor continuously seeks opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and cost effectiveness while maintaining the integrity of the luxury dining experience. This role also requires the ability to inspect work areas, equipment, and operational conditions; verify information in a variety of formats; remain active for extended periods; lift and move objects as required by the operation; and perform other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership.
 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma/GED equivalent required; Hospitality, Tourism, Food & Beverage, or Restaurant Management studies preferred.
  • Related Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of related Food & Beverage service experience; luxury resort, fine dining, destination restaurant, or signature restaurant experience preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory, senior captain, shift leader, or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English and Spanish required; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: POS, reservation notes, guest preference systems, inventory basics, opening/closing checklists, and service recovery processes.
  • Cultural and Brand Fit: Refined presence, discretion, sense of place, storytelling ability, and commitment to Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards and the Reserve philosophy.
