Senior Manager, Procurement Communications

JOB SUMMARY 

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Procurement Communications, will play a critical role in shaping and executing communication strategies that support Marriott’s enterprise procurement organization. The Senior Manager is responsible for developing clear, consistent, and timely communications that reach a diverse audience — from corporate stakeholders and vendors to on-property teams. This role also oversees technical and crisis communications, ensuring readiness and responsiveness during supply chain disruptions or vendor-related issues. In addition, the Senior Manager provides support to continent and property teams, enabling better understanding and execution of procurement processes through toolkits, feedback loops, and a centralized communication platform. 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE  

 

Education and Experience Required: 

BA/BS in Communications, Public Relations, or related fields 

7+ years of experience in communications, preferably in supply chain within the hospitality or CPG Industry 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

 

Education and Experience Preferred: 

Experience with crisis communication and stakeholder management  

Strong understanding of procurement operations and systems 

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES  

 

Communication Strategy & Execution 

Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to support procurement initiatives, system rollouts, policy changes, and emergency protocols 

Leverage AI and other technology to enhance speed and efficiency in all aspects of work.  

Ensure consistent messaging across all partners, including hotel properties, continent procurement teams, and headquarters 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Operations, Risk Management) to align on messaging strategies 

Technical & Emergency Communications 

Lead technical communications related to procurement systems, tools, and technology updates 

Develop and execute emergency communication protocols for scenarios such as supply chain disruptions, critical vendor issues, or property-level crises 

Maintain and refresh emergency templates and escalation procedures, ensuring readiness for rapid deployment 

Continent and Property Support 

Provide direct communication support to property teams regarding procurement processes, vendor updates, and compliance requirements 

Support the launch of a communication platform, allowing the tracking of support request tickets raised and closed incl. response times, etc.  

Monitor feedback channels and address communication gaps or challenges 

Stakeholder Engagement 

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal departments, vendors, and service providers, to ensure alignment and transparency 

Support executive leaders with high-impact communications, including presentations, leadership updates, and stakeholder briefings
