ABOUT THE PROPERTY

The Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel will be the first internationally-branded hotel in the Mauritanian capital.  the hotel featuring 174 guest rooms and 26 suites will be located in the central business district of Nouakchott, just four kilometers from the International Airport.  The modern hotel is designed with Mauritanian-style architecture and features an all-day dining restaurant and a specialty restaurant, a bar, an outdoor pool as well as more than 1,500 square meters of meeting space.

Who we are looking for...

You are an absolute expert in the field of marketing and also a creative mind, who also thinks around the corner and can innovatively establish our new top product in the market.  You are a true leader with knowledge in the area of sales and distribution and are ‘hungry for business’ and having your KPIs under control. Then you might be the right person for the position of our Director of Sales & Marketing.   Reporting directly to the General Manager, you and your team will create enthusiasm for our fantastic new hotel product among our future customers and enable us to firmly establish ourselves in the market.

• You have at least 5 years of relevant management experience in sales and/or marketing in the upscale hotel industry or other industries.
• You are "hungry for business" - no way to the customer is too far for you!
• You are an intuitive leader, structured and know how to lead teams and motivate them to achieve their best performance
• You have a fantastic appearance, are charming and convince with your professionalism.
• You are a communication talent with excellent French and English language skills
• Your winning demeanor, can-do attitude and hands-on mentality are a natural part of your personality
• Your willingness to perform inspires your team to peak performance and as a true team player you support the leadership team professionally with advice and action with your expertise
• Your enthusiasm to establish our fantastic, new hotel product in the market to a real big player is contagious!
• You are an excellent project manager and always have an eye on all deadlines
• You are analytical and base your strategic decisions with business know-how
