The Accountant supports the Accounting Manager, Hong Kong in the Continent’s accounting operations and processes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
• Degree / Diploma holder in Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of commercial accounting experience
• Preference for accounting experience with major multinational corporations
• Experience in developing financial analytical reports will be a plus
• Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the Accounting Officer position
Skills and Competencies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Hands on experience in PeopleSoft is an advantage
• Fluency in Chinese and English is required

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Responsible for daily accounting functions including accounts payable, T&E, corporate credit card and general ledger
• Ensure timely processing and proper validation of all vendor invoices and employee expense claims
• Support month-end closing, process journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and address related queries
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system implementation projects including UAT testing
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Develop and streamline processes and procedures to enhance the workflows and efficiency of the daily operation
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned
