Job Summary


Marriott’s Riott Media is our global, data-driven media network that empowers brands to meaningfully engage travelers across Marriott’s digital and on-property ecosystem. As the Riott Media leader for Greater China, you will drive the future direction and development of the local business. This position is a high-visibility leadership role with significant ability to create impact across an omni-channel media business.
In this role, you will oversee the development of sophisticated products, ensuring that all aspects of the product creation process are well-coordinated and aligned with company and global media network goals. You will manage the process involved in launching these products into the local market, including marketing strategies, sales plans, and distribution channels. You will leverage your leadership skills and knowledge to evolve our current media network capabilities and build a sustainable pathway to exponential growth.


Key Responsibilities
Financial & Commercial Leadership
•    Monitor and manage Riott Media’s local financial performance, including revenue, costs and profitability
•    Own P&L deliver revenue targets aligned with global benchmarks
•    Develop and execute commercial strategies for monetizing advertising resources and driving revenue growth and profitability

Product Development & Innovation
•    Oversee development and localization of sophisticated ad products; MarTech and AdTech capabilities in alignment with global strategy
•    Translate Marriott’s unique assets – guest data, premium content, on property touchpoints, and loyalty ecosystem – into scalable, privacy-compliant advertising products
•    Optimize yield through advanced inventory forecasting, pricing strategies, and real-time performance analytics


Client & Market Engagement
•    Promote Riott Media with effective sales strategies and strong client relationship management
•    Directly manage relationships with strategic advertisers, agencies, and platform partners
•    Lead high value negotiations and close multimillion-dollar deals across direct, programmatic, and co-marketing channels
•    Moniot market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities and challenges

Team Leadership & Capability Building
•    Lead the development and management of Riott Media’s local organization, including team structure, recruitment, and performance
•    Build and lead a high performing, cross0functional team (sales, operations, product, analytics)
•    Identify training needs, facilitate professional development opportunities, and mentor team members


Cross- Functional Alignment
•    Collaborate with Brand & marketing, Loyalty, Digital, and Property Operations to embed Riott Media into Marriott’s customer journey
•    Champion the business case internally and secure buy-in from key stakeholders across regions and functions.

Candidate Profile
Education and Experience 
•    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
•    Minimum of 15 years in advertising, marketing, or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience managing a media team and building or scaling media/ad businesses is highly desirable. Start-up experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies
•    Ten or more years of cross-functional leadership experience, including success leading large marketing teams with vendor and/or agency counterparts 
•    Eight or more years in brand and performance marketing, with exposure to programmatic buying, retail/commerce media, and e-commerce integrations 
•    Five or more years of offsite media product strategy experience, with a proven track record of launching new products from the ground up 
•    Strong strategic planning, media management, and negotiation skills 
•    Expertise in media planning, buying, and optimizing advertising inventory and pricing 
•    Deep understanding of programmatic advertising, MarTech, and media buying 
•    Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners 
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
