JOB SUMMARY 

Supports the overall management of the restaurant and bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards. This role works closely with the General Manager Restaurant & Bar to develop a passionate team, foster a culture of continuous training, and assist in day-to-day operations. The Assistant Manager plays a critical role in overseeing service delivery, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth execution of food and beverage operations, contributing to guest satisfaction and loyalty.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE


Education and Experience

  • Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or similar careers 
  • At least 4 years of experience in similar positions, with exposure to high scale environments
  • English and Spanish are required in level B2 as minimum. Additional languages are valued

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES


Team Support and Development 

  • Assists in leading pre-shift meetings to review daily operations, guest feedback, and menu updates. 
  • Helps identify staff training needs and supports the implementation of ongoing development programs. 
  • Provides hands-on coaching to team members, encouraging growth and fostering a supportive environment.

Delivering Exceptional Guest Experience 

  • Proactively engages with guests, ensuring their needs are met and resolving any issues to enhance their experience. 
  • Encourages staff to anticipate guest needs and deliver personalized service, contributing to guest satisfaction and repeat business. 
  • Reviews guest feedback and works with the team to implement improvements where necessary.

Operational Support 

  • Ensures that service standards in restaurants, bars, and room service are consistently maintained. 
  • Monitors inventory and supply levels, placing timely orders to prevent service disruptions. 
  • Supports compliance with food safety, sanitation, and liquor laws, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

Financial and Administrative Assistance 

  • Assists in managing operational budgets, working alongside the Restaurant & Bar Director to monitor costs and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Helps to analyse financial performance, providing insights to improve efficiency and profitability.

Human Resources Support 

  • Assists in the recruitment and training of staff, ensuring team members align with the brand's vision and service philosophy. 
  • Participates in performance reviews, providing feedback and setting development goals for team members. 
  • Promotes a culture of fairness, respect, and collaboration, ensuring a positive work environment for all staff.

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Communicates with the General Manager Restaurant & Bar on daily operations, guest feedback, and team performance. 
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve the guest experience and operational efficiency. 
  • Steps into leadership duties in the absence of the Restaurant & Bar Director, ensuring consistent management of the team and service quality.
