Cluster HR Manager - Legal & Compliance

Reporting to Market Director of Human Resources Fiji & Samoa and overseeing five Marriott International Fiji properties, we are seeking an experienced and qualified practicing lawyer to lead our Human Resources Compliance and Employee Relations initiatives. This role will ensure adherence to Marriott International Policies, local Standard Operating Procedures, and all relevant employment laws.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Formal qualification in Law, five years experience desired, experience in managing people and extensive knowledge of legal drafting ora degree in Human Resources along with relevant experience in a similar position
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Ensure all HR practices comply with legal regulations and Marriott International Policies {MIP's).
• Provide guidance on employee relations matters, resolving conflicts and ensuring fair treatment of all associates.
• Develop and communicate property rules and regulations through the employee handbook; ensure that safety and security policies are regularly reinforced during orientation and property meetings.
• Collaborate with health and safety officers to ensure workplace health and safety regulations are upheld.
• Manage process of permit to work and permit to reside including transfer and accommodation of foreign workers to Fiji,
• Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with legal and organizational standards.
• Head investigation and disciplinary process
