The Director Loyalty Marketing & Portfolio Marketing APEC is one of the member in the Loyalty Marketing team. This role has responsibility for:
- Portfolio Marketing
- Marriott Bonvoy Moments
- Experiential activation & Partnerships
- Destination Marketing
This role will work close collaboration with global, continent and area teams to plan and create a closer bond between our guests and our portfolio and loyalty program by creating immersive and memorable experiences in a manner that is locally relevant and aligned with global strategy. In addition, this role is responsible for driving marketing performance within the region.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time. This position will work closely with other departments within Marriott’s Corporate Headquarters as well as the continent/region/area offices.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major
- 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in program management, marketing strategy, digital or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
Key experience includes:
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve a common goal.
- Strong ability to manage through influence rather than direct reporting relationships
- Project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional project teams to drive concrete results and actions
- Must have excellent relationship development and management skills with both internal and external business partners; ability to say no with defensible business rationale
- Proven ability to interact and influence all levels of the organization through persuasive communication and analysis
- Analytical mindset and familiarity with financial principles
- Experience managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience marketing through various channels: properties, contact centers, direct mail, email, web, social media, etc
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Strategy & Planning
- Work with senior management and other colleagues for strategy planning and execution
- Responsible for planning and directing best-in-class Loyalty Marketing campaigns that differentiate Marriott Bonvoy and portfolio from competitors and gather attention from consumers and press.
- Serve as a regional point of contact and work across the organization / stakeholders to develop cohesive event strategy and identify areas of opportunity for amplification of campaigns via partnerships and/or buzz-generating tactics.

- Research, trends, and POV analysis
- Agency identification & recommendation
- RFI/RFP development & distribution
- Campaign execution within a quick turnaround time
Portfolio & Destination Marketing
- Pull through global multi-brand messaging and Portfolio/Loyalty creative / messaging
- Custodian of Marriott Bonvoy brand in continent, working with various teams to ensure on-brand pull through
- Marketing Campaigns: Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns that showcases the portfolio and affiliation to key brands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, agencies, and vendors to create compelling content and creative assets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive destination marketing strategies to drive key performance outcomes (awareness, consideration and bookings)
- Market Research: Conduct / Provide inputs to market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities for Marriott Bonvoy. Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies.
- Content Development: Create and curate content to support marketing initiatives and engage target audiences.
- Performance Analysis: Track and analyze the effectiveness of portfolio and destination campaigns. Use key performance metrics to measure the impact of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
Experiential Activation & Partnerships
- Executes and monitor experiential campaigns that drive conversation and engagement with loyalty program and portfolio in a meaningful way.
- Ensure campaign marketing plan is executed flawlessly and in line with the marketing rights negotiated for the partnerships
- Direct and provide guidance to a group of the work of a group of individuals
