Finance Manager, Japan & Guam

JOB SUMMARY

  • Prepare and analyze required financial information to support Area Director of Finance for monthly performance review calls (Continent Week Reviews) and adhere to tight deadlines submission to APEC office.
  • Work closely with hotel’s Finance Leaders during monthly forecasting. Highlight the variance on forecast versus actual result on regular basis and suggest/implement action plan to ensure forecast including forecasting accuracy is met.
  • Coordinate annual budgets and Capex Planning with hotels for timely submission. Review the Budget and Capex submission to prepare for reviews in conjunction with the Area DOF.
  • Work with concerned departments in relation to MI receivables related matters.
  • Review monthly MI receivables and coordinate collection with hotel’s Finance Leaders. To ensure AR Aging is kept current with the hotels.
  • Monitor and establish effective internal control procedures for hotels. e-A&L, CSAT and ISRA Audit reviews to support hotel team improve compliance rating. Monitor FIAT (Income Audit Tool) and Peoplesoft Adoption matrix so ensure K Rating.
  • Communicate regularly with hotel’s Finance Leaders on finance related matters to ensure consistent compliance with corporate policy. 
  • Follow up with Hotels for timely MIP-66 submission in Quickbase which refer to quarterly Balance Sheet Certification to be completed by DOF and GM on property.
  • Handle audits and taxation related issues by liaising with compliance team and internal tax department.
  • Submission of monthly and quarterly report required from APEC office timely.
  • Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
  • Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise well-organized way.
  • Manage time well and possesses strong organizational skills.
  • Informs and/or updates the executives and the peers on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Handle ad hoc operations issues/ projects/ assignments.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience 

  • Degree holder in Accounting and/or professional qualifications in Accounting (ACCA, CPA, CA)
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar Finance/Accounting role
  • Experience with accounting software such as Peoplesoft will be advantageous
