FLEX Manager Franchise Learning Delivery
Marriott International HQResponsible for planning, organizing and delivering various live classroom and virtual training programs with a special focus on Select Brand F&B Operations. This role will work with the Senior Manager of Franchise Learning to execute against business priorities and the overarching training delivery strategy for hotels within North America. The Flex Franchise Learning Delivery Manager will build relationships with key stakeholders in Brand and utilize an understanding of Select Brand F&B challenges to tailor learning as appropriate. The manager will provide recommendations for program delivery, including but not limited to ILT, VILT, digital learning, simulations, etc. Responsibilities will include programs/initiative deployment to effectively achieve results in alignment with broader business objectives, as well as conducting learning consultations with on-property leaders to understand property and market needs. Strong facilitation skills are necessary as role will include facilitation of foundational leadership training and F&B remediation training. This role requires up to 90% travel.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- BA/BS (or equivalent) preferred
- Based in major city preferred
- Excellent platform delivery skills required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in classroom training required (virtual training experience preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years hotel F&B operations experience required (MSB preferred)Facilitation skills for a variety of mediums and audiences
- Excellent communication skills (listening, oral, facilitation, presentation, written)
- Ability to coach others for performance improvement
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/ projects
- Experience/knowledge in technology-based delivery tools (i.e., computers, projectors, web conferencing)
- Business knowledge (related to Marriott business functions, culture, systems, customer)
- Business process knowledge (processes, quality measures)
- Leadership (project/team leadership, business partnering, change management)
- Select Brand F&B property operations knowledge
- Experience developing learning solutions preferred

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Provides Learning Consultation and Collaborates with Key Stakeholders
- Works with on-property leaders to conduct a learning consultation to understand property and market needs.
- Utilizes an understanding of Select Brand F&B challenges to conduct consultation and tailor learning programs, as appropriate.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders in Brand.
- Curates a learning plan or program based on an understanding of the property or market needs.
- Ensures learning plan or program is representative of the Marriott brand, brand standards and service level or other approved Marriott content.
Delivers Training Programs
- Delivers training to ensure transfer of knowledge according to program learning objectives.
- Utilized technology to effectively facilitate consultations and program delivery, including but not limited to ILT, VILT, digital learning, LMS, simulations, etc., Demonstrates the ability to deliver a full suite of learning programs, across the brands, to leaders and associates, in small or large setting. Effectively co-facilitates with a training partner through prior contracting and ongoing coaching and feedback, as needed
- Creates an environment that enables maximum learning by employing adult learning principles
- Demonstrates knowledge of the uniqueness of each audience, including adjusting delivery to the various learning styles represented, as well as for any special needs that could affect the learning
- Conducts self in a manner reflective of Marriott professionalism and decorum before, during and after the learning event
- Demonstrates overall control of the learning environment, including effectively leading the learning activities, giving directions, utilizing the experiential learning cycle, addressing classroom behavioral issues, etc. as appropriate
- Demonstrates mastery of training technology and best practice facilitation methods to maintain quality standards for all mediums of training delivery
- Effectively solicits, responds and adapts to learner feedback
- Participates in the scheduling, administration, marketing, production, execution, post-production and evaluation of learning events, as needed
- Maintains content and process integrity of each program, suggesting changes and enhancements as appropriate
- Develops and deploys methods to solicit feedback, measure impact and adjusts courses or delivery approach as necessary.
- Works with Logistics team to provide feedback and suggestions on logistics processes
- Assists with the implementation of new programs as appropriate or requested
- Shares learning and insights as a voice from the classroom ensuring alignment with business and brand priorities
- Manages expenses associated with F&B Remediation program ensuring the program stays within budget

The pay range for this position is $30.86 to $48.61 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
