This is a temporary position. 
 

Marriott International is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer, Salesforce B2C Commerce and Order Management for the on-going support of a new commerce platform. The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior level engineer with demonstrated experience supporting SFCC and Order Management and integration points as part of a large enterprise solution. The engineer will be a commerce subject matter expert and will participate in maintenance of the solution, collaborating with multiple partners and service providers. In addition to the SFCC and OMS technical skillset, strong communication and a positive approach to working in a highly matrixed environment is essential for success in this role. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Actively monitor the B2C Commerce Cloud and Order Management platform for performance issues, identifying root causes of technical problems, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and impact on customer experience. 
  • Managing deployments of updates, patches, and new features to the B2C Commerce Cloud environment, ensuring proper configuration and data integrity. 
  • Analyzing system performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations to improve website load times and overall user experience. 
  • Maintaining data quality within the B2C Commerce Cloud, including product catalog management, price updates, and inventory synchronization. 
  • Managing integrations between the B2C Commerce Cloud, OMS and 3rd party integrations ensuring data flows seamlessly. 
  • Responding to customer-facing issues, investigating root causes, and coordinating with development teams to resolve technical problems quickly. 
  • Creating scripts and workflows to automate repetitive tasks related to system maintenance and operational processes.

 

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting B2C Commerce and OMS platform's features, functionalities, and architecture. 
  • Proficiency in web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SOQL, Apex. 
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and devise effective solutions. 
  • Experience with managing system configurations, user access, and security settings within the B2C Commerce Cloud. 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, business teams, and technical support teams.

 

Other Qualifications 

  • An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving
  • Solid understanding of monitoring tools such as DynaTrace and Splunk
  • Previous Hospitality Industry experience 
  • Previous Experience with Salesforce OMS 
  • Experience with ADA(a11y) Compliance 

 

The hourly pay range for this position is $44.90 to $75.24.
