FLEX Salesforce Platform Engineer
Marriott International HQYou will lead design, architecture and custom development in one of the biggest salesforce orgs using Salesforce and other web technologies such as APEX, JavaScript, LWC, RestAPI and GraphQL. Collaboration with other engineering teams across the organization is essential for its success and drive continuous development and iterative deployments.
About You
You must champion best practices for creating reusable, scalable, organized and well tested code. In addition, you’ll customize and extend current tools and processes to increase effectiveness of you team.
The Platform Salesforce Engineer will
- Leverage SFDC expertise to act as technical architect and hands on Salesforce developer at times.
- Design and oversee technical architecture solutions that involve integrations with other internal systems with focus on security, authentication, scalability and performance.
- Make informed decisions on architectural design, considering tradeoffs, benefits and recommendations.
- In depth salesforce knowledge, staying updated with latest releases and guiding on new capabilities.
- Drive UX and design strategies, seeking platform adoption improvements.
- Identify process and system optimization opportunities for efficiency and end user experience.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and translate into solutions.
- Develop and manage off-platform automation scripts utilizing Python.
- Assist Marriott security efforts by reviewing Shield event logs and alerts.
Skills/Experience required:
- B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving and follow-through abilities.
- 8-10 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 6 years of experience required in design, develop, test, and implement highly customized Salesforce applications, primarily using Lightning Web Components or Aura Components.
Skills/Experience recommended:
- Experience with User Behavior Analysis monitoring, scripting and alerting.
- High proficiency in JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, Python, or similar tool
- Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL and DevOps concepts
- Experience in building application observability using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Other Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when it comes to conveying technical concepts to audiences at all levels.
- Ability to mentor and learn from other team members through pairing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with major architectural bodies of work within a front-end application and building UI component libraries.
- Experience with monitoring and performance analysis and code quality metrics coupled with a drive for code quality and encouraging peers to elevate their craft.
- An unbridled curiosity and interest in problem solving and iterative development.
- Constant drive to complete projects and to overcome roadblocks with positivity and creativity.
- Hands-on experience with crafting robust unit tests and working with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- You aren’t afraid to course correct anti-patterns you’ve noticed within the team.
The pay range for this position is $58.60 to $83.13 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
