Job Description:

We are a prestigious five-star hotel with 220 keys, large banquet facilities, five F&B outlets, located in Tbilisi, Georgia. We are well known for delivering unparalleled luxury and exceptional dining experiences to our guests. 

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef/ Senior Chef-de-Partie to join our culinary team. He/She must process a refined palate and have extensive knowledge of Indian, Middle Eastern, South East Asian and international cuisines. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for culinary excellence, creativity, and a wealth of experience in banquet operations, theme buffets, and A la Carte restaurant services.

The candidate will oversee the preparation, presentation, and quality of dishes, manage kitchen operations during special themed events and be responsible for training our kitchen associates to deliver exquisite dining experiences.

Proficiency in English is essential as you will engage with customers, listen to their feedback, and cater to special requests and dietary restrictions. Additionally, a basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is required to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to design, refine, and execute menus that showcase the best of Indian, Middle Eastern, South East Asian and international flavors.
  • Lead by example in the kitchen by demonstrating expert techniques and an artistic approach to food presentation.
  • Assist in the management of banquet operations, ensuring seamless execution of events, and maintaining high culinary standards even in high-pressure situations.
  • Oversee a la carte restaurant services, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through impeccable food quality and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to source premium ingredients for authentic and elevated International dishes.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, while upholding the hotel's reputation for excellence.
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal menus and special event offerings that celebrate the diversity of Indian, Middle Eastern, South East Asian and international cuisines.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment that promotes teamwork and open communication. 
  • Collaboration: Provide assistance in the main kitchen by contributing to the preparation of international dishes, following training, instructions, and guidance provided to the culinary team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef/ Senior Chef-de-Partie in renowned five-star hotels or upscale dining establishments.
  • Exceptional expertise in Indian, Middle Eastern and South East Asian culinary traditions, with the ability to craft authentic and inventive dishes.
  • Proficiency in international cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentations.
  • Solid track record in managing banquet operations, theme buffets, and A la Carte restaurant services.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team toward culinary excellence.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring flawless execution of culinary services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English is required.
  • Adept at maintaining composure and delivering high-quality results under pressure.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
