FLEX Manager, Development Resources
Marriott International HQAs a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skills in the Lodging Development Project Management area to support department customers and business objectives. Works under limited supervision from the Senior Manager, and within established guidelines, designing, developing and managing processes and systems around data collection and analysis to assist in the decision-making process regarding new hotel development and maintenance of Marriott’s hotel pipeline.
This team player will contribute to helping to further improve business processes, planning tools and applications related to bringing hotels into the Marriott System for Lodging Development. Responsibility will focus on the design, development, testing and user training of business applications and processes to gather and maintain data for new deals and pipeline hotels in support of these processes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in Business Administration, Project Management, Paralegal or related major, or related professional area.
OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, Paralegal or related major related major; 1 years’ experience in the business, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Discipline Work, Projects, and Policies
- Supports the business process and application design of the Development application process for all brands. Partners with related departments in documenting deal attributes and the distribution of key documents. Business systems include OASIS, DocuSign, the On-Line Franchise Application Site and Securimate/Steele.
- Supports monthly committee process, outcomes and deal tracking.
- Liaison who collaborates and negotiates as directed with respect to deal data and shared business processes and systems.
- Responsible to review all contract compliance, as well as forecasted construction starts and openings.
- Assists in ensuring all stakeholders are appropriately informed.
- Prepares, analyzes and presents standardized reports on an on-going basis using applications.
- Manages and updates key data within applications.
- Provides support to senior management and internal stakeholders.
Supporting Operations
- Responds to, solves and makes decisions on routine business requests with limited to moderate risk.
- Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff as needed.
- Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
- Reviewing the effectiveness of business processes.
- Serving as point-of-contact for to more junior staff, where appropriate for problem resolution.
- Provide support in setting department operating plans.
- Work to achieve results against budget within scope of responsibility.

The pay range for this position is $33.94 to $56.68 per hour.
