Hotel Accountant – Sheraton Melbourne Hotel

Join our team at Sheraton Melbourne Hotel as a Hotel Accountant, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our property and driving business success. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong financial acumen and a passion for delivering results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in P&L statements and balance sheets.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving profitability.
  • Manage compliance with Marriott policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, maintaining a robust internal control framework.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to property-wide financial strategies.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (hospitality experience preferred).
  • Strong financial knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership qualities to guide and support finance associates.
