Assists department head in managing budget, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Accountable for maintaining the building and grounds with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Assigns, tracks and follows up on status of work assigned to staff and contractors. Helps to increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communications and training.
As the Assistant Chief Engineer, you will:
- Electrical Systems Management — Oversee Low Voltage electrical systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance — Develop and execute maintenance plans for all building equipment (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire safety).
- Vendor Coordination — Manage service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLA compliance.
- Energy Optimization — Monitor energy consumption and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety — Ensure adherence to electrical codes, building regulations, and safety standards.
- Budget Management — Prepare and manage facility OPEX/CAPEX budgets.
- Emergency Response — Lead response for electrical faults, outages, and critical incidents.
- Team Leadership — Supervise technicians and coordinate daily operations.
Our most successful Assistant Chief Engineer is someone who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Certified Electrician (authorized for installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting)
- 5+ years experience in facility or technical operations
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, BMS, and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and contractor‑management skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
