Job Summary:

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, heart-of-house spaces, and laundry operations, when applicable, consistently meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety, and brand compliance. This role works closely with Front Office, Engineering, and other operational departments to ensure rooms are ready.
 
Support the Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper in monitoring payroll, departmental expenses, controllable costs, and budget performance.
 
Assume leadership responsibility for the department in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, ensuring operational continuity and sound decision-making.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma + 1 year experience OR 2‑year hospitality degree
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, especially housekeeping, laundry, and guestroom maintenance.
  • Ability to prepare daily work assignments, including rooms to clean and check‑outs.
