Business Intelligence Developer (Maternity Cover)
Design Hotels Berlin officeWe are seeking a Business Intelligence & Reporting Specialist to manage and enhance our reporting environment. In this role, you will be responsible for producing accurate, consistent, and timely reports and dashboards in Tableau, while ensuring the ongoing maintenance and optimization of existing reporting solutions. You will also support the development and maintenance of the business intelligence infrastructure, including ETL processes, helping to deliver reliable insights that support business decision-making.
Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze business processes and gather reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and data solutions.
- Design, develop, and enhance Tableau reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Maintain and further develop the SQL Server data warehouse environment.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and reporting purposes.
- Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS, ensuring efficient and reliable data integration.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including requirements, solution designs, and user guides.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure the quality and reliability of BI solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the business intelligence and reporting landscape.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-4 years of work experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau, including dashboard development, data visualization, and report optimization.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and database design principles.
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL processes using SSIS or comparable ETL tools.
- Experience working with data warehouses and ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and technical teams.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Fluent in English.
