POSITION SUMMARY

 

The role involves providing exceptional service to guests by serving food courses and alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standards. The candidate will be responsible for setting tables based on the type of event, answering questions about menu selections, and ensuring clear communication with the kitchen regarding menu details, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability. They will also manage special requests, allergies, and dietary needs, ensuring a personalized experience for every guest.

In addition to food service, the position requires handling bar operations, including the preparation and serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, such as cocktails, following quality standards and guest preferences. The candidate will record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order, check in with guests to confirm satisfaction throughout the meal and beverage service, and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including glassware and equipment. Closing duties include restocking items, turning off lights, and ensuring all areas are properly secured. The role also involves presenting accurate checks to guests and processing payments efficiently.

Guest Service Experts will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces), managing the menu (read and visually verify information), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for Guest Service Experts – to get it right for our guests and our business each and every time.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: at least1 year related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

License or Certification: None
