The Chief Accountant is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the hotel's Finance Department, ensuring effective financial control, accurate reporting, compliance with Marriott standards, and sound financial management of the property.

The Chief Accountant is responsible for the overall management of the hotel's accounting and financial operations, ensuring compliance with Marriott International policies, standards, internal controls, and applicable local regulations.
 
The position oversees the daily operations of the Finance Department, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, General Cashier, Payroll, cash management, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
 
The Chief Accountant ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, timely completion of month-end and year-end closing, effective reconciliation of accounts, and adherence to established financial controls and reporting requirements.
 
The position provides financial analysis and business support to the General Manager and Executive Committee, assisting management in achieving financial targets, controlling costs, improving profitability, and making informed business decisions.
 
The Chief Accountant is also responsible for leading, supervising, and developing the Finance team, maintaining a high-performance culture, and ensuring all financial activities are conducted with the highest standards of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and professionalism.
 
Previous Marriott International experience is highly preferred, with strong knowledge of Marriott financial systems, policies, procedures, and reporting standards.
 
 
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 5–7 years of Finance & Accounting experience, preferably in an international hotel environment.
3. Previous experience as a Chief Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar senior role.
4. Marriott International experience is highly preferred, with knowledge of Marriott financial policies and procedures.
5. Proven experience in managing and overseeing a Finance Department.
6. Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
7. Experience with month-end closing, audits, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; hotel systems experience is an advantage.
9. Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
10. High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
11. ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
