JOB SUMMARY

This is a remote position responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues and profitability associated with guest rooms. The role is accountable for pricing, positioning, and inventory strategies for the hotel(s) within its area of responsibility.

The position develops and recommends revenue strategies for transient, wholesale, and group segments, identifies new revenue opportunities, and effectively communicates pricing and revenue strategies to key stakeholders.

Given the positioning of the property, the role requires a strong understanding of the luxury and ultra-luxury hospitality segment, including high-end guest expectations, premium pricing strategies, market positioning, and the competitive landscape.

The position maintains productive remote working relationships with key stakeholders, including hotel General Managers, Sales and Marketing leaders, Finance teams, and other property and corporate leadership.

CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field.
  • Previous professional experience in Revenue Management within the luxury or ultra-luxury hospitality segment is required.
  • Proven experience managing or supporting revenue strategies for luxury resorts, five-star hotels, or ultra-luxury hospitality environments.
  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality market dynamics, including premium pricing strategies, transient and leisure segments, wholesale business, group strategy, distribution channels, and competitive positioning.
  • Experience working with revenue management systems, property management systems, distribution platforms, and market intelligence tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating a high level of organization, autonomy, accountability, and proactive communication.
  • Experience collaborating remotely with property leadership, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Reservations, and other key stakeholders.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Analyzing and Reporting Revenue Management Data
  • Analyzes information, identifies current and potential problems, and proposes solutions.
  • Analyzes period-end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles to achieving goals.
  • Generates updates on transient segments each period and continually analyzes transient booking patterns.
  • Assists with account diagnostic processes and validates conclusions.
  • Maintains accurate reservation system information.
  • Checks distribution channels regularly for hotel positioning, information accuracy, rate integrity, and competitor positioning.
  • Identifies underlying principles, reasons, or facts by breaking down information and data into relevant components.
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results through reports, presentations, and other communication channels.
  • Obtains and evaluates information from all relevant sources.
  • Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring established deadlines are met.
  • Analyzes weekly and monthly STAR information to assess past strategies, identify areas of opportunity, evaluate competitive set performance, and develop strategies to maximize available market share.
  • Analyzes STAR information to support the development of RevPAR Index forecasts.
  • Supports the development of the annual room revenue budget.
  • Monitors luxury and ultra-luxury market trends, demand patterns, competitive positioning, and pricing behavior to identify opportunities to strengthen the hotel’s rate and market position.
MANAGING REVENUE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
  • Provides critical input to property leaders for the development of market and sales strategies.
  • Provides revenue management functional expertise and leadership to General Managers and property leadership teams.
  • Implements and evaluates revenue tests and commercial initiatives.
  • Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Assists the hotel with pricing strategies and provides input on business evaluation recommendations.
  • Provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes.
  • Ensures property diagnostic processes are used to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Develops pricing strategies aligned with the positioning and value proposition of an ultra-luxury property, balancing occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, profitability, and long-term brand positioning.
  • Identifies opportunities to drive premium room and suite revenues while protecting rate integrity and the exclusivity of the hotel’s positioning.

  • Communicates brand initiatives, demand trends, and market analysis to hotel and leadership stakeholders.
  • Communicates market direction and revenue strategies to Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and hotel leaders.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.
  • Develops and manages key internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Provides targeted and timely communication of results, achievements, opportunities, and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Maintains strong engagement and communication with property leadership while operating remotely, ensuring alignment and timely decision-making despite physical distance.
  • Partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations, and hotel leadership to ensure revenue strategies support the overall commercial strategy and ultra-luxury positioning of the property.
REMOTE WORK EXPECTATIONS
  • This position is designated as remote and requires the ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, meetings, reporting, and communication with hotel and corporate stakeholders.
  • Maintains consistent availability and effective communication during established business hours and scheduled meetings.
  • Participates actively in virtual revenue strategy meetings, commercial meetings, forecasting sessions, and other business reviews.
  • Demonstrates strong self-management, organization, follow-through, and accountability while working remotely.
  • Maintains a strong connection with the hotel operation and commercial strategy despite working off-property.
