JOB SUMMARY 

Marriott Bonvoy sits at the center of a global travel ecosystem, creating meaningful connections between members and thousands of hotels worldwide. The Director, Redemption Products will help shape how members experience the value of their points while supporting the financial strength and continued growth of the program. With influence across a large, complex redemption business, the role will use insights into member behavior, hotel performance, market dynamics, and program economics to identify opportunities and guide the evolution of redemption products. This is a highly visible opportunity to improve a defining part of the Bonvoy member experience while balancing the needs of members, hotels, owners, and the broader enterprise. 

Reporting to the Senior Director, Redemption Products, the Director will operate at the intersection of strategy, analytics, technology, and execution, working closely with teams across Loyalty, Finance, Revenue Management, Predictive Analytics, Digital, Operations, and the Continents. The position combines forward-looking strategy with hands-on problem solving—from interpreting sophisticated analyses and evaluating business trade-offs to shaping technology-enabled solutions and bringing new concepts into the market. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and compelling communicator who is energized by ambiguity, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, and able to convert complex information into practical direction. Success requires curiosity, sound judgment, financial acumen, and the ability to move seamlessly between long-term opportunities and the day-to-day realities of a global loyalty program. 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE  

Education and Experience  

Required 

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in loyalty, finance, revenue management, customer analytics or related function 
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Economics, or related major   
  • Experience analyzing and manipulating large data sets using SQL, SAS, R, or Python, and visualizing outputs in Tableau or Power BI. 

 

Preferred 

  • Masters of Business Administration or Economics  
  • Revenue Management or Finance experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage processes across diverse stakeholder groups, and influence outside formal reporting lines. 

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES  

  • Lead the strategy, governance, monitoring, and ongoing refinement of Marriott Bonvoy redemption pricing across the global hotel portfolio. 
  • Manage program economics for current and emerging award products, balancing member value, owner economics, redemption demand, and the long-term financial sustainability of the program. 
  • Partner with Predictive Analytics, Revenue Management, Finance, and Continent teams to define and optimize redemption pricing algorithms, property-level parameters, point ranges, value targets, controls, and deployment strategies. 
  • Quantify projected and actual financial and customer impacts of pricing, reimbursement, inventory, and policy decisions, including effects on demand, member value, displacement, and program cost. 
  • Monitor redemption performance and emerging trends through recurring analysis and executive reporting on volume, demand, pricing, reimbursement, member behavior, and market performance; recommend strategic actions when needed. 
  • Build analytical models, dashboards, scenario analyses, and decision frameworks that translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Serve as the business lead for technology capabilities supporting redemption pricing by defining business rules, requirements, controls, dependencies, testing, and implementation priorities. 
  • Drive cross-functional development and launch of new redemption products including coordinating sequencing, risk mitigation, readiness, communications, and operational pull-through. 
  • Engage Owner and Franchisee communities and internal stakeholders to understand concerns, evaluate property-level impacts, resolve escalations, and build support for redemption and reimbursement decisions. 
  • Develop executive recommendations, communicate trade-offs, secure alignment, and support governance decisions across senior leadership and key cross-functional partners. 
  • Provide functional leadership to analytical resources responsible for redemption operations and analysis by setting priorities, reviewing methodologies and outputs, coordinating workloads, and strengthening team capabilities.
