Job Summary:

Support the General Manager in the daily management of the resort.
 
Drive revenue performance, front office operations, wellness spa performance, guest satisfaction, service quality, and departmental discipline.
 
Lead the team with professionalism, urgency, accountability, and a strong sense of ownership.
 
1. Revenue Management & Commercial Focus
  • The candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in room revenue strategy, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, forecasting, and market segmentation.
  • Daily pickup, booking pace, cancellation trends, OTA performance, and direct booking opportunities.
  • Rate strategy, room inventory control, upselling, and room type optimization.
  • Corporate, government, leisure, family, MICE, and group segments.
  • Ability to work closely with Sales, Reservations, Revenue, and Front Office to maximize room revenue.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and recommend tactical actions during both low and high demand periods.
2. Front Office & Guest Experience
  • Strong Front Office and Rooms Division experience, including check-in and check-out operations.
  • Guest service, concierge, bell service, cashiering, and room assignment.
  • VIP arrival handling and special guest arrangements.
  • Marriott Bonvoy guest expectations and loyalty recognition.
  • Complaint handling and service recovery.
  • Lobby presence during peak periods, high occupancy, group arrivals, VIP movements, and school holiday operations.
  • Ability to ensure every guest receives a warm, professional, efficient, and memorable arrival and departure experience.
3. Wellness Spa
  • Ability to strengthen the Wellness Spa as a premium guest experience and revenue contributor.
  • Oversee spa guest experience, arrival flow, service standards, cleanliness, maintenance follow-up, and personalization.
  • Work closely with the Spa & Wellness team to create attractive wellness, couple, family, and resort-stay packages.
  • Drive cross-selling between rooms, spa, water park, dining, and special occasions.
  • Ensure wellness guests receive a refined, peaceful, personalized, and premium experience.
  • Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and service gaps related to wellness services.
4. Tribute Portfolio Brand Readiness
  • Support the resort’s preparation and alignment with Tribute Portfolio by Marriott standards.
  • Understand the importance of international service standards, strong local identity, unique resort character, and memorable guest experiences.
  • Maintain consistent service delivery, brand compliance, audit readiness, and operational discipline.
  • Focus on cleanliness, safety, grooming, maintenance, and guest satisfaction.
  • Uphold Marriott-level expectations while maintaining the resort’s individuality and premium resort positioning.
5. Leadership & Operational Discipline
  • Lead daily briefings and departmental follow-up.
  • Conduct regular operational walkabouts.
  • Identify service gaps and rectify issues immediately.
  • Support Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, F&B, Sales, Finance, and HR where required.
  • Prepare reports, action plans, revenue updates, and operational performance summaries.
  • Ensure SOPs are followed consistently.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of hotel management experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a senior Rooms Division, Revenue, Resort Operations, or EAM-level role.
  • Strong background in Front Office and Revenue Management.
  • Experience in upscale hotels, resorts, spa, wellness, or lifestyle properties.
  • Good understanding of international hotel brand standards.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to communicate in additional languages will be an added advantage, especially for handling international, corporate, and leisure guests.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and guest recovery skills.
  • Mature personality, professional, and hands-on leadership style.
  • Ability to work under pressure during high occupancy, VIP arrivals, school holidays, MICE events, and group movements.
 
Added Advantage
  • Marriott or other international hotel brand experience.
  • Tribute Portfolio, Autograph Collection, Renaissance, Sheraton, Westin, Le Méridien, or similar upscale/lifestyle brand exposure.
  • Resort operations, spa and wellness operations, revenue management, and room inventory strategy.
  • Pre-opening, rebranding, conversion, or brand transition project experience.
  • Experience handling VIP, corporate, government, leisure, family, group, and MICE segments.
  • Ability to communicate in other foreign languages.

Pay: RM8,000.00-RM12,000.00
