In this role you will:

Accountable for overall success of the daily kitchen operations, you will exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions. You’ll work to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility. You will supervise all kitchen areas to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced. You will be responsible for guiding and developing staff including direct reports. You must ensure sanitation and food standards are achieved. The areas you will be responsible for, comprise overseeing all food preparation areas (e.g., banquets, room service, restaurants, bar/lounge and employee cafeteria) and all support areas (e.g., dish room and purchasing).

What we’re looking for

  • Great teamwork, delegation skills and attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in a similar sized fast pace Hotel
  • Proficiency in all Health and Food Safety aspects related to the discipline
  • In depth knowledge of ingredient sourcing, cost controlling, inventory and budgeting using the appropriate tools, along with purchasing and inventory systems
  • Strong leadership in maintaining a positive workplace culture 
  • Sustainability orientated, with substantial success in practices implemented 
  • Strong collaborative and supporting attitude towards other disciplines
  • To be considered for this role, all applicants must have proven right to work in the United Kingdom

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment, we’ll ask you to complete safety training and certification.
