The Executive Housekeeper serves as a key operational leader and brand ambassador, responsible for delivering exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and presentation across all guest and associate areas. This role ensures that the property consistently reflects the distinctive character of the Autograph Collection—“Exactly Like Nothing Else”—while fully complying with Marriott International brand standards, quality assurance requirements, and local regulatory guidelines.
The Executive Housekeeper leads all housekeeping operations to create a seamless, refined, and wellness-focused environment that enhances guest satisfaction, loyalty, and overall brand reputation. Position assists in ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 6–10 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience in a luxury, lifestyle, or wellness-focused hotel or resort.
Strong understanding of Marriott International brand standards, QA audits, and operating systems (advantage).
Proven leadership capability with strong attention to detail, organization, and quality control.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English required (additional languages are an advantage).
Strong problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required by operations.
1. Guest Experience & Brand Standards
- Champion Marriott International and Autograph Collection brand standards across guest rooms, villas, public areas, wellness facilities, and back-of-house spaces.
- Ensure spaces consistently deliver elevated cleanliness, ambiance, and attention to detail aligned with luxury and wellness hospitality.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Guest Experience, Wellness, and Engineering teams to anticipate guest needs and personalize experiences.
- Respond proactively to guest feedback and service recovery opportunities to drive high GSS, LQA, and loyalty scores.
- Direct and oversee daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, villas, public areas, laundry, spa and wellness facilities, staff housing, and storage areas.
- Communicate guest room status to the Front Desk efficiently and coordinate with Engineering for timely maintenance resolution.
- Supervise cleaning schedules, assign work based on check-ins/check-outs, and ensure adequate supply levels.
- Conduct inspections, quality audits, and corrective actions to maintain readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with Marriott QA, SOPs, LSOPs, and health/safety standards.
- Ensure employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms for daily operations.
- Coordinate and align with the Director of Rooms overall directions
- Prepare, manage, and control housekeeping operating budgets, including labor productivity, expenses, and capital requirements.
- Implement cost-control measures without compromising quality, cleanliness, or guest expectations.
- Oversee inventory of linens, uniforms, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Finance to maintain proper sourcing, par levels, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate and align with the Director of Rooms overall directions
- Lead, coach, and inspire a diverse team of associates, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop associates in alignment with Marriott service values and learning standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and ongoing skills development.
- Ensure departmental staffing meets guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
- Participate in HR activities including performance management, employee coaching, disciplinary procedures, and hiring interviews.
- Empower employees to deliver excellent guest service.
- Address guest complaints promptly and seek continuous improvement.
- Emphasize guest satisfaction during departmental meetings and training initiatives.
- Support Marriott sustainability initiatives through eco-friendly cleaning practices and responsible resource management.
- Promote safe handling of chemicals, equipment, and machinery in compliance with occupational safety standards.
- Maintain a hygienic, serene, and wellness-oriented environment that aligns with the property’s holistic positioning and guest promise.
