About the Hotel - W Melbourne

W Melbourne is the rebel between the streets, sitting in the heart of the Melbourne CBD on the iconic Flinders Lane, the luxury hotel takes its design cues from Australia’s cultural capital and providing the back-lane entrance keys to what’s New/Next in the city. About the Venue - LOLLO

Lollo is our Italian Restaurant responsible for serving our remixed luxury buffet breakfast, along with a la carte lunch and dinner, while Bar Lollo services Italian Spuntini (small bites). We service our in-house W guests and the local corporate and Melbourne CBD community.

A Glance at What You Will Do

  • Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
  • Set tables according to event type and service standards.
  • Answer questions on menu selections.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
  • Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day.
  • Complete opening & closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
  • Present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Communicate with clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Support the team to reach common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other team members.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
