Drives Food and Beverage revenue to achieve restaurant and lounge topline goals by proactively selling restaurant reservations, private events, and promotions. Focuses on restaurant and lounge pricing strategy and supports the Food & Beverage Sales Manager in achieving monthly revenue targets. Responsible for selling events in restaurants and bars, upselling menus and beverage packages, generating new business through sales calls, and closing local accounts. Supports restaurant leaders in increasing average check and department profitability. Works closely with kitchen, outlet managers, supervisors, and associates to deliver successful events from start to finish.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required:
· High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
OR
· 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
Preferred:
· 4-year college degree; previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality and sales discipline; knowledge of property-specific business segments (e.g. group, catering, transient); knowledge the hospitality industry.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Sales, Marketing and Events Activities
• Works with the Food & Beverage Sales Manager and restaurant leaders to identify top local accounts for Manila Marriott Hotel.
• Assists in setting and achieving monthly revenue targets for restaurants and lounges.
• Communicates clearly through email, phone, and face-to-face for smooth event execution.
• Maintain a database of regular "VIP" guests and corporate bookers, ensuring they receive personalized follow-ups to encourage repeat business.
• Conducts outside sales calls and actively scout for local corporate businesses, event planners, and social groups to host dinners, private parties, and corporate lunches.
• Upsells food, beverage, and package options to maximize revenue.
• Handle inquiries for group bookings, draft proposals/contracts, and create REOs (Restaurant Event Orders) to ensure the kitchen and service teams are aligned.
• Represent the hotel at fairs and expos to generate more revenue and build a pipeline for future events.
• Manage seasonal calendar, ensuring all promotions (e.g., Festive Hampers, Valentine’s Menus, Mooncakes) are designed, priced, and ready for market well in advance of the holiday. Assists in photoshoots for food, beverage, and promotional events.
• Assist in the development of special F&B offerings, including the selection of high-quality inclusions, sourcing of premium packaging, and overall aesthetic presentation.
• Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to develop pricing strategies that remain competitive while maximizing profit margins.
• Monitors guest feedback and satisfaction surveys from clients and assists in resolving guest issues related to events or dining experiences.
• Works with the Club Marriott team to create at least 3–4 engagement programs annually.
• Supports all major events and group functions personally on-site.
