FLEX Coordinator, Asset Management

The U.S./Canada Asset Management and Owner & Franchisee Relations team is responsible for supporting Marriott’s open owned, managed and franchised lodging properties in the United States and Canada. The team partners with various Marriott corporate departments and disciplines to help Marriott achieve its business objectives by negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and enforcing contracts with owners, buyers, sellers, and lenders for open hotel properties in the United States and Canada, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes strategic alignment and effective stakeholder engagement. The Coordinator manages and maintains the department’s critical database information on high volume contractual matters for hotels in the United States and Canada while leveraging technology to streamline processes, and tracks various asset management and operational matters as they arise. The position will also coordinate document processing and filing across the practice area and assist in project or department specific initiatives.  

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE   

Education and Experience   

Required 

  • Four-year bachelor’s degree  

OR  

  • Two-year college degree AND Two years’ work experience 

 

Preferred 

  • Extended experience in the Office Suite, document management software and databases, and Adobe products. 

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES  

  • Coordinate contract development and execution partnering with the attorneys and paralegals on the team throughout all phases of transactions; from reviewing and inputting necessary information to generate accurate contracts and reports to coordinating the execution of documents. 
  • Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of the practice area’s contract and legal management databases, shared drives, and database reporting. 
  • Provide support to the attorneys and other members of the group in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.  
  • Identify gaps and areas of opportunity to leverage technology and implement solutions to improve efficiency of the team’s administrative processes to better respond to business needs. 
  • Manage the team’s intake mailboxes and other communications and make corresponding updates to contracts, systems, and databases.  
  • Direct and cycle through a high volume of legal documents and correspondence in a timely manner. Provide excellent word processing and formatting support. 
  • Assist in the administration of Restricted Person review and compliance on behalf of Law Department. 
  • Generate and manage up-to-date working and permanent files, monitor and make entries in RIMS and track transmittals to the Records Management team.  
  • Assist with or take lead role in special projects and/or overflow assignments for the U.S./Canada Asset Management and Owner & Franchisee Relations team.
