Key Accountabilities
Begin your journey with us as a Front Office Duty Manager, overseeing all aspects of the guest arrival and departure experience. You will manage check-ins and check-outs, room assignments and changes, key issuance, payments, and guest enquiries, while consistently delivering an exceptional luxury experience at every touchpoint.
- Utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and motivate others, while supporting sound financial and business decision-making and leading with integrity.
- Oversees and supports associates during shifts, managing daily operations and maintaining a hands-on understanding of all roles to ensure seamless coverage when needed.
- Builds and maintains open, collaborative relationships within the team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Reviews forecasting, sales, and activity reports to monitor performance, support productivity, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assists in the timely and thoughtful resolution of guest concerns, working closely with Guest Relations to ensure positive outcomes.
- Monitors and processes chargebacks and rebates accurately and efficiently.
- Handles complaints and disputes with professionalism, aiming for fair and constructive resolutions.
- Trains, mentors, and develops associates to enhance skills, confidence, and service delivery.
- Works closely with all departments to support smooth property operations and resolve issues as they arise.
- Upholds luxury service standards while consistently meeting and exceeding guest expectations.
- Supports sales initiatives through proactive and thoughtful upselling.
- Acts as a knowledgeable ambassador for both the property and the destination of Hobart.
Profile
- Experience working as a Front Office Duty Manager in a luxury hospitality environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Thorough follow up, strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills is a must.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to emotionally connect with guests and provide superior levels of service.
- Conflict resolution experience.
- Must have the flexibility to work on a 24-hour rotating roster including overnights, public holidays and weekends.
- Experience of OPERA property management system a distinct advantage.
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Valid RSA Certificate
- Must have full working rights in Australia
