The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

We are currently seeking a General Manager.
 
As the leader of AC Hotel Old Montreal, you will embody the vision and ambition of the property. You will oversee the overall management of the hotel, placing revenue growth, brand positioning, and excellence in guest experience at the core of your priorities. A true entrepreneur, you will skillfully lead commercial, marketing, and operational strategies to maximize profitability and enhance the hotel’s reputation. Through your leadership, you will direct operations with precision and creativity while motivating and inspiring teams to deliver a distinctive guest experience.
 
Operations
 
You will ensure smooth and exemplary day-to-day operations by:
 
Ensuring operational excellence across all departments
Maintaining a strong presence on the floor and conducting regular hotel inspections
Monitoring quality trends and implementing concrete improvement actions
Upholding Marriott and Urgo Hotels Canada standards
Overseeing audits, including food safety audits
Optimizing scheduling while balancing financial objectives and guest experience
Sales & Marketing
 
You will actively contribute to the hotel’s commercial success by:
 
Developing and ensuring the execution of sales strategies
Leading daily revenue management strategies
Engaging teams around sales objectives and opportunities
Financial Performance
 
You will be responsible for the financial health of the property by:
 
Planning and managing operational and capital budgets
Clearly communicating financial objectives to teams
Ensuring sound cash-flow management
Leadership & Talent Development
 
You will foster an environment where teams can thrive by:
 
Recruiting, developing, and inspiring talent
Supporting managers in their professional growth
Implementing effective communication practices
Promoting a culture of collaboration, engagement, and service excellence
Partner & Community Relations
 
You will represent the hotel with professionalism by:
 
Managing agreements and relationships with partners
Contributing to the hotel’s visibility and reputation within the community
 
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality, ideally within recognized hotel brands
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a leadership role
- Inspiring and results-oriented leader with strong team-building abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written
- University degree in business administration or hospitality management
- Strong knowledge of hotel systems and tools
