The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the Courtyard by Marriott Lafayette South. This individual will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including guest satisfaction, revenue generation, sales leadership, financial performance, associate engagement, asset protection, and brand compliance.
The successful candidate will possess a strong operational background, proven leadership abilities, exceptional financial acumen, and a passion for developing people.

Key Responsibilities
 
Leadership & Culture

Guest Experience
•Ensure delivery of exceptional guest service and memorable experiences.
•Maintain guest satisfaction scores at industry-leading levels.
•Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally.
•Drive a culture where every guest interaction matters.
 
Operations Excellence
•Ensure the hotel remains spotlessly clean, meticulously maintained, and fully brand compliant.
•Oversee all departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, and Food & Beverage.
•Maintain outstanding quality assurance and brand inspection scores.
•Drive operational efficiencies while protecting service levels.
 
Financial Performance
•Achieve or exceed annual revenue, profit, and market share objectives.
•Manage hotel budgets, forecasting, labor controls, and expense management.
•Analyze financial statements and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
•Deliver strong GOP performance and ownership returns.
Sales & Revenue Leadership
•Partner with the Sales and Revenue Management teams to grow market share.
•Develop strategies that increase occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
•Maintain strong relationships within the Lafayette business community.
•Actively participate in sales initiatives and community engagement efforts.
 
Asset Management
•Protect and enhance the physical asset through preventive maintenance programs.
•Ensure capital projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
•Maintain a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for guests and associates.

Qualifications
Required
•Minimum 5 years of hotel General Manager experience.
•Marriott experience strongly preferred.
•Proven record of achieving revenue and profitability goals.
•Strong understanding of hotel financial statements and budgeting.
•Experience leading multiple department heads and cross-functional teams.
•Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
•Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive results.
 
Preferred
•Courtyard by Marriott experience.
•Strong sales and revenue management background.
•Experience with labor management, forecasting, and operational systems.
•Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.

$75,000 - $80,000 based on experience
