JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager serves as the property's ambassador and operational leader, responsible for all aspects of hotel performance including financial results, service quality, compliance, and team development. This role requires hands-on leadership to maximize revenue, control expenses, and maintain brand standards while serving as the primary liaison with guests, ownership, corporate representatives, and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years hotel management experience (Hilton, Marriott, or upscale boutique preferred)
Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
Valid driver's license
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex financial data
Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Quality
Oversee daily operations across all departments with regular property inspections
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations plus brand standards
Maintain required certifications (Food Handlers, ServSafe, RBS, CPR/First Aid)
Implement preventive maintenance and cleanliness standards
Financial Management
Lead budget development and monthly financial forecasting
Control expenses while maximizing revenue and productivity
Conduct monthly financial reviews with department managers
Ensure timely processing of invoices and corporate reporting
Leadership & Development
Direct and develop management team through coaching and training programs
Conduct performance appraisals, hiring, and disciplinary actions per company standards
Lead weekly staff meetings and training sessions
Foster a positive, guest-focused team environment
Sales & Guest Relations
Actively participate in sales efforts with top accounts and prospective clients
Maintain visible presence in public areas during peak times
Host client meetings, tours, and property events
Monitor and support sales planning with Sales Department

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 annually.
