Golf Superintendent

Seeking an energetic leader who will be responsible for maintaining The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and leading the golf grounds team in day to day operations. This person will be part of a dynamic and successful team. Must be able to work outdoors in sun and rain.
Qualified candidates must have:
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major;
• 5 years experience as a Golf Course Superintendent at a Luxury Tier Golf Course and 3+ years experience with Reverse Osmosis system and maintaining Paspalum turf.
• Horticultural knowledge and landscaping skills
• Knowledge of turf lawn care and maintenance procedures with emphasis on golf turf grass varieties
• Knowledge of irrigation controls and pumping systems
• Understanding the application of fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides
• Understanding of the game of golf
• Past supervisory experience of day to day operations of a golf grounds department.
• Manages parts, supplies, and equipment inventories within budget.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards (OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)
• Knowledge of overall golf club operations as they affect golf grounds landscaping
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to maintain records and daily log as required.
