Group Sales Executive (The Westin Dragonara Resort)
The Westin Dragonara Resort MaltaPOSITION SUMMARY
Working within the Group Sales team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and responding to group enquiries, preparing sales materials, and supporting the Account Directors. The primary objective is to maximise room revenue, F&B and Conference & Banqueting business from an assigned account base while proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities in line with the hotel’s budgetary goals. The role also includes providing comprehensive administrative support throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to all group enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare high-quality proposals, contracts, presentations, and other sales materials to support the Account Directors.
- Proactively source, qualify, and convert new group opportunities for the hotel.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of group bookings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Opera Sales & Catering and other relevant systems.
- Support the administrative needs of the team to ensure efficient and effective sales operations.
- Consistently deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with Marriott standards and brand programmes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate high energy, excellent organisation skills and the ability to work independently while using their own initiative. A strong customer focus and commitment to delivering service excellence are essential.
Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- A Degree or Diploma in Business, Hospitality or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, whilst knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering and other Marriott sales tools such as MI Sales Leads, OneSource as well as the Cvent sales platform will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a five star hotel sales environment is preferred.
