Gym Attendant
The Westin Fiji Golf Resort & SpaThe Gym Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming fitness and recreation environment for Residence Owners and guests. This role ensures exceptional service standards are upheld at all times while supporting the overall operations of the fitness facility.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain fitness and recreation areas, including restrooms and showers, in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are hygienic, organized, and in good working condition.
- Conduct routine inspections of tools, equipment, and machines to identify defects or maintenance needs.
- Report any faults, damages, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Welcome and acknowledge Residence Owners in line with company service standards.
- Anticipate and respond to guests’ needs promptly and professionally.
- Provide assistance to individuals with disabilities when required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, including answering telephone calls with proper etiquette.
- Promote facility rules and regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all users.
- Express genuine appreciation when interacting with guests.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Report low stock levels to the Residences Manager and/or Director of Residences.
- Maintain proper records and ensure supplies are replenished in a timely manner.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions immediately.
- Complete all required safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and proper uniform standards.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Comply with company quality assurance standards.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school graduate or holder of a relevant certification
- CPR and First Aid certifications are an added advantage
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment
- Must have valid working rights in Fiji
