Purpose of the Role
The IT Administrator is responsible for supporting the reliable, secure and efficient operation of the hotel’s Information Technology environment. The role provides day-to-day technical support to hotel Hosts, supports business-critical and guest-facing technology systems, assists with infrastructure and application administration, and helps ensure technology services are maintained in accordance with Marriott International standards, cybersecurity requirements and property operational needs.
Job Requirement:
- Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software, applications, network connectivity, printing, mobile devices and related technology services.
- Support critical hotel platforms including PMS, POS, Microsoft 365, telephony, guest-facing systems, IPTV/digital signage, access control and other hospitality applications.
- Assist with servers, virtualization, storage, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, network switches, backup systems and associated infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot incidents and coordinate escalations with Marriott technology teams, vendors and support partners to minimize operational downtime.
- Support Active Directory, user accounts, security groups, application access and periodic access reviews in line with approved authorization.
- Assist with cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, patching, vulnerability remediation, security assessments, audits and Marriott IT compliance requirements.
- Monitor backups and participate in contingency, business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory, technical documentation, support records and technology lifecycle information
- Support preventive maintenance, system upgrades, implementations, testing and technology projects; provide basic user guidance and training to Hosts.
- Maximum productivity and operational efficiency across hotel departments.
- High availability of hotel technology systems and services.
- Enhanced guest satisfaction through reliable technology and rapid incident response.
- Effective utilization of technology investments and system functionality.
- Compliance with Marriott IT, cybersecurity, data protection and technology standards.
- Timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests with minimal operational disruption.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support or a similar role.
• Hotel, hospitality or other 24/7 operational environment experience is highly desirable.
