The Manager, Intelligence, APEC shapes and supports the delivery of scalable intelligence, data science, and analytics solutions that inform commercial decision making across the region. This role partners with stakeholders to translate business questions into clear analytical requirements, owns assigned analytics and reporting projects from discovery through delivery, develops insights through data-driven analysis, dashboards, applications, and repeatable reporting, and ensures outputs are actionable, accurate, intuitive, and timely.
The Manager works closely with the Director, Intelligence and cross-functional partners from other teams to maintain and enhance Business Intelligence products, contribute to discovery-led and data science-enabled analyses, and help embed insights into regular planning, performance reviews, investment decisions, and stakeholder-facing self-service tools.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, revenue strategy roles
- 4-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and standardized reporting (e.g., Power BI/Tableau or similar) and translating business needs into clear requirements
- Strong ability to perform structured analyses and communicate insights to non-technical audiences
- Strong stakeholder management skills; experience partnering cross-functionally to deliver outcomes
- Strong hands-on SQL capability, including querying, joining, validating, transforming, and troubleshooting large datasets in database environments; familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms is preferred
- Experience applying data science techniques such as statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation, experimentation, or predictive modeling to solve commercial business problems is preferred
- Demonstrated experience owning analytics, dashboarding, application, or reporting projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, prioritization, design, testing, documentation, launch, and post-release enhancement
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles for dashboard, application, and reporting design, including intuitive navigation, visual hierarchy, stakeholder usability, and self-service adoption
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Business Intelligence Products and Platforms
- Shape the ongoing delivery and enhancement of Business Intelligence tools and dashboards, including requirements clarification, testing, documentation, and release readiness.
- Ensure reporting definitions, logic, and data quality checks are standardized and consistently applied across markets and stakeholders.
- Monitor adoption and usability of key BI products; recommend improvements to increase self‑service and reduce one‑off reporting.
- Apply UI/UX principles to dashboard, application, and reporting design so outputs are intuitive, visually clear, fit for stakeholder workflows, and easier to adopt as self-service tools.
- Own assigned dashboard, application, and reporting enhancements from business intake through delivery, coordinating scope, timelines, dependencies, stakeholder feedback, testing, documentation, and release communication.
Discovery and Hypothesis‑Led Intelligence
- Partner with stakeholders to clarify ambiguous questions, frame hypotheses, and define success metrics and analytical approach.
- Perform analyses that identify drivers, trends, and trade‑offs; surface implications and recommended actions tailored to decision makers.
- Contribute to the creation of reusable analytical frameworks and templates that enable faster, repeatable insight generation.
- Use strong SQL and data preparation skills to extract, validate, combine, and analyze large datasets, ensuring analytical outputs are reproducible, transparent, and aligned with approved definitions.
- Apply appropriate data science methods, including statistical analysis, forecasting, segmentation, experimentation, or predictive modeling where relevant, to strengthen insight generation and decision support.
Customer Intelligence
- Develop customer and market insights using behavioral, transactional, attitudinal, and competitive data to support regional priorities.
- Translate analysis into clear narratives, insights, and recommendations for business reviews, planning cycles, and ad‑hoc leadership requests.
- Partner with regional and market teams to validate findings and support action planning and measurement.
Project Ownership and Delivery
- Lead assigned analytics, dashboarding, application, and reporting projects with clear ownership of scope, milestones, stakeholder alignment, risks, and delivery quality.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, data logic, user flows, prototypes, test plans, and launch-ready deliverables.
- Partner with technology, data, and business teams to resolve data, logic, usability, or adoption issues and ensure solutions are scalable and fit for purpose.
Marketing Analytics and Investment Intelligence
- Support measurement of marketing initiatives and investments through performance tracking, attribution/ROI analysis (where applicable), and learning agendas.
- Provide insights to improve budget allocation, channel mix, and campaign performance; communicate recommendations with clear assumptions and limitations.
- Build repeatable reporting to strengthen governance of marketing performance and ensure consistent definitions across markets.
