The Manager Payment Solutions role is a fixed term opportunity (12 months in duration) which plays a fundamental role across Europe, Middle East and Africa in enabling our hotels to operate smoothly and confidently with Marriott’s global payment brand standard gateway, FreedomPay.
You will report to the Director, Payment Solutions EMEA as part of our EMEA Finance Operations team, focused on hands‑on support, deployment, implementation and ongoing operational ownership. Building relationships and demonstrating an enterprise mindset you will partner closely with hotel finance and IT teams, shared service centres and external providers, resolving issues as they arise and maintaining compliance in a fluid payments environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payment Solution Support & Deployment
- Support hotels through FreedomPay deployments, upgrades and changes, working in partnership with project teams and vendors
- Act as a primary operational contact for payment‑related issues, coordinating resolution across internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively manage incidents and escalations, resolving issues before they require senior leadership intervention
- Track and follow up on service levels, ensuring hotels receive timely and effective support
Operational Management
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, SOPs and best practices for hotel teams
- Support alignment with card brand requirements, local regulations and data governance, coordinating actions and tracking progress
- Coordinate product updates, including testing, timing and communication to impacted hotels
- Prepare and share operational reporting and insights (e.g. chargebacks, volumes, service levels) with internal stakeholders
Hotel & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with Area DOFs, hotel finance teams and property IT contacts
- Provide practical, easy‑to‑understand guidance to hotels across diverse markets
- Build strong owner and hotel relationships through responsiveness, clarity and follow‑through
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, Legal, Brand and Market teams to ensure smooth execution of initiatives
SCOPE
- Operational support and deployment of FreedomPay across EMEA hotels (Managed and Franchised)
- Approximate split: 50% support / 50% deployment
- Location: London (UK), Eschborn (Germany) or Dubai (UAE)
- Travel: Less than 5%
- Hybrid working: 2–3 days per week in the office
- English required; additional languages an advantage
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in hotel finance, hotel operations, or hospitality systems support
- Strong understanding of on‑property finance processes, PMS and POS environments
(Opera experience strongly preferred) - Experience supporting system implementations, technology rollouts or operational change in a hotel or multi‑unit environment
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident communicator comfortable working across cultures and levels of seniority
- Collaborative, service‑oriented mindset with a practical, solutions‑focused approach
Education
- Degree in Hotel Management, Finance, Business or related field
