Mixologist

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Bar Person / Mixologist to join our Food & Beverage team at Courtyard by Marriott Exeter Sandy Park in The View.

You will play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences by preparing high-quality beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring the bar operates efficiently and to Marriott brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and soft drinks to a high standard
• Create classic and innovative cocktails with excellent presentation and consistency 
• Deliver exceptional customer service, engaging with guests and making personalised drink recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar environment at all times 
• Ensure all transactions are processed accurately using the POS system
• Monitor and replenish stock levels, supporting stock control and ordering processes
• Verify customer identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in line with legal requirements
• Stay up to date with current beverage trends and contribute ideas to enhance the bar offering 
• Comply with all company policies, health & safety, and food hygiene standards
• Work collaboratively with the wider F&B team to ensure smooth and efficient service

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a bar or hospitality environment preferred
• Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar service standards 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for guest service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and reliability
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
