JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for bar/lounge daily shift operations and supervision of staff. Position assists with promoting the lounge, menu planning, maintains standards, assists servers on the floor during peak periods and manages property liquor inventories and controls. Strives to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Accountable for enforcing all legal obligations professionally and consistently. Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then implements plan. Strengthens the food and beverage/culinary team by assisting in other outlets when needed.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 4 years' experience in the food and beverage, or related professional area.

OR

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Position Summary

At Moxy, the Bar & Lobby Vibe Manager is not just a manager — they are the heartbeat of the hotel. This role is responsible for creating an energetic, social and magnetic atmosphere across the lobby and bar experience while driving guest engagement, F&B revenues and community connect.

The ideal candidate is equal parts host, curator, brand ambassador and operations leader. They understand that at Moxy, the lobby is the stage, the bar is the social hub and every interaction should feel spontaneous, stylish and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

Curate the Moxy Vibe

  • Create a vibrant, high-energy and socially engaging atmosphere in the lobby and bar spaces.
  • Drive the overall guest experience through music, lighting, activations, events and social interactions.
  • Ensure the hotel remains culturally relevant and connected to local trends, nightlife and social scenes.
  • Be highly visible during peak hours and act as the face of the social experience.

Drive F&B and Social Revenue

  • Develop creative programming and experiences that increase bar footfall, guest engagement and revenue generation.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Operations teams to conceptualize themed nights, collaborations, pop-ups, live entertainment and brand activations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve spend per guest and maximize lobby/bar commercial potential.
  • Monitor trends, guest feedback and competitor activity to continuously evolve the experience.

Lead Guest Engagement

  • Build authentic connections with guests and create a welcoming, inclusive social environment.
  • Encourage interaction, community feel and repeat patronage.
  • Handle guest feedback and service recovery with confidence, personality and emotional intelligence.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the bar and lobby experience.
  • Collaborate with F&B, Front Office and Housekeeping teams to maintain brand standards and service consistency.
  • Support staffing, scheduling, inventory awareness and operational coordination during events and high-volume periods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene and beverage service standards.

  • Confident in handling dynamic environments and high guest interaction.
  • Experience in bars, lifestyle hotels, events, entertainment or social hospitality concepts preferred.
  • Creative thinker with strong execution capability.
