Position Summary

As a Night Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining kitchen operations during overnight hours, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and cleanliness. This role plays a key part in preparing for the following day’s service, supporting late-night orders, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly in a calm, organised, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve late-night menu items to required standards
  • Complete overnight food preparation for upcoming services
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen during night shifts
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Carry out stock checks, food labelling, and correct storage procedures
  • Minimise waste and follow portion control guidelines
  • Work independently while communicating effectively with senior kitchen staff
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for morning service

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate
  • Food Allergy and Intolerance Training Certificate
