The Reservations Manager leads the Reservations function, ensuring booking accuracy, inventory integrity, and a seamless pre-arrival experience.
Reporting to Sales & Marketing, the role drives commercial performance across all channels while aligning booking flow with operational readiness, including high-value luxury consortia and preferred partner programs.
Key Responsibilities
#Leadership & Team Development#
- Lead, coach, and develop the Reservations team, driving accountability, accuracy, and service excellence.
- Monitor performance and strengthen team capability through ongoing training.
#Commercial Performance#
- Drive enquiry conversion and maximize revenue through upselling and effective room positioning.
- Maintain rate integrity and support revenue performance through accurate data and same-day selling.
- Oversee luxury consortia and preferred partner bookings, ensuring correct execution of benefits and rates.
#Inventory & Systems Management#
- Manage room inventory to ensure accurate availability and allocation across systems.
- Ensure effective use of Opera, MARSHA, One Yield, HPP, and Marriott platforms (including CI/TY).
- Partner with Revenue Management on inventory control and system optimization.
#Guest Journey & Operations#
- Ensure reservations are accurate and complete, including payment details, preferences, and special requests.
- Conduct pre-arrival checks and manage waitlists and no-shows to support a smooth arrival experience.
#Financial & Compliance#
- Partner with Finance on billing accuracy, credit approvals, deposits, and payment processes.
- Ensure bookings are financially secured and compliant with hotel policies.
