About the role
The Misono Restaurant Supervisor reports directly to the Misono Restaurant Manager and will be required to provide hands on support to the entire front of house team as well as have excellent food and beverage knowledge. You will be accountable for the efficient operation of the high-volume service environment and upholding our premium customer service standards.
Critical responsibilities:
- Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.
- Inspect grooming and attire of staff, and rectify any deficiencies.
- Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
- Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness.
- Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies.
- Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well being of guests.
- Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Successful Candidates will have:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a fast-paced and/or premium restaurant/bar environment is highly desirable
- Passion for the industry with a continuous thirst for knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Motivational leadership skills with the proven ability to coach and train your team
- Exceptional grooming standards appropriate for a 5-star environment
- Availability to work across a 7 day a week roster including weekends, evenings and public holiday
