Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Countrywide Hospitality, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

 

A critical, hands-on role that bridges the gap between sales, operations, and the client. They are responsible for managing small group sales, booking meeting room space, managing group blocks, and supporting the Director of Sales with administrative tasks.

This position acts as the primary contact for smaller, high-frequency events and local, small-scale corporate meetings.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales and Lead Generation: Proactively solicit and book group, corporate, and small meeting business to drive revenue through phone calls, emails, and site inspections.

Meeting Room Management: Coordinate all aspects of meeting space, including room setup (theater, classroom, boardroom), audiovisual (AV) equipment needs, and catering/refreshment requirements.

Administrative Support: Prepare proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and client correspondence.

Group Room Management: Manage group room blocks, cut-off dates, and rooming lists in the Property Management System (PMS).

Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service from inquiry to event execution.

Cross-Department Coordination:  Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure client requirements are met.

Reporting and CRM: Maintain accurate client records, track sales metrics, and update CRM systems (e.g., Lightspeed, STS).

Marketing Support: Maintain social media accounts, update sales collateral, and assist with local networking initiatives.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 1+ years of experience in hotel sales, catering, or front office operations, preferably in a select-service environment.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Hotel Sales & Catering systems (e.g., Lightspeed, STS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to negotiate and influence corporate clients.

Organization: Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple, overlapping groups and events.

Customer Focus: 
A passion for customer service and building relationships.
