Located in the heart of Oakland, the hotel is surrounded by world-renowned universities, hospitals, museums, and major corporate demand generators. The property offers modern guestrooms, flexible meeting space, on-site dining, and the strength of the Marriott brand. As a Sales Manager at a Concord Hospitality property, you play a vital role in the hotel’s success. You will develop and grow hotel business through direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, and property tours for both guest rooms and event space.
What You’ll Do
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and client outreach.
- Manage and grow corporate, group, university, healthcare, and local accounts.
- Conduct site tours, client presentations, and networking events.
- Negotiate contracts and close group rooms, meetings, and event business.
- Partner with revenue management to maximize occupancy, ADR, and citywide opportunities.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline activity, and sales systems such as Delphi.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with timely responses and follow-through.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless event and guest execution.
- Represent the hotel professionally in the community and at industry events.
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue, booking, and sales activity goals.
- Support overall hotel success through teamwork and operational partnership.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred
Marriott systems experience a plus
Strong closing, prospecting, and relationship-building skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven mindset
Knowledge of Pittsburgh market preferred
