Marriott is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with proven expertise in designing and implementing modern, scalable digital platforms. This is a senior individual contributor role. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in complex Content Management workflows, advanced Marketing and targeting capabilities, and strong technical proficiency in authorization and access control, search, and commerce solutions. This role requires a blend of architectural vision and hands-on development skills, with the ability to actively contribute to coding and programming tasks daily. Candidates should demonstrate a strong track record of building robust, enterprise-grade solutions that deliver exceptional performance and user experience. The individual will be tasked with creating solutions and their supporting documentation including technical requirements, definition of done, diagrams and test plans.

  • Design and implement scalable, enterprise-grade web architectures that support complex content management workflows and integrated marketing capabilities. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, system integrations, and platform enhancements. 

  • Lead solution design for various platform initiatives. 

  • Provide hands-on development support, writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code as part of day-to-day responsibilities. 

  • Create and maintain supporting technical documentation including Technical Requirements, diagrams and test plans. 

  • Drive architectural reviews, technical documentation, and best practices for development teams. 

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business objectives. 

  • Coordinate with development teams to implement best practices. 

 

  

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with a focus on web and mobile platform technologies. 

  • Hands-on full stack development experience in 1 or more modern web or mobile stacks. 

  • Proven ability to design secure, scalable web solutions with CMS and marketing requirements. 

  • Enterprise Architecture experience as a Solution or Software Architect. 

  • Deep understanding of content management systems, marketing automation, and personalization workflows. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in the hospitality industry or with global consumer brands. 

  • Familiarity with hotel systems (PMS, CRS, loyalty platforms) and guest-facing technologies. 

  • Adobe marketing tech stack, specifically Adobe Experience Manager, Target and Adobe Client Data Layer 

  • Cloud-native architecture experience (especially AWS).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset. 

  • Ability to influence technical and business teams in a global enterprise.
